National Make A Difference Day is an annual community service event which is held on the fourth Saturday in October. Millions of people have united in the common mission to improve the lives of others.
Kira Rumpp, OJR Middle School Teacher and Leo Club Advisor, once again spearheaded the school district's effort to make a difference in the community. All schools in the district held a food drive to replenish the shelves of the local food pantry. The food drive lasted a week with the culmination coming on Saturday - "Make a Difference Day". A school bus was loaded with the foods collected from the seven schools in the district.
The Middle School Leo Club plus two High Schoolers in costume pose for a picture prior to loading the bus.
Members of the High School Wrestling team, along with coaches and their kids, get pic'd before starting the challenge of unloading the bus and stacking the shelves of the Coventry Pantry.
