French Creek Advisor, Amy Hess, stands to the right of her recently inducted Lion Cubs. The seven Lion Cubs were the last of a group of sixteen. Other members were inducted at Warwick Park after the Rusty Crayfish multi-club service activity.

OJR High School Leo Club Hosts District 14P LEO RALLY

Saturday April 29th the OJR high school Leo Club hosted a Leo Rally for Leo Clubs in Lions Clubs International District 14P. The Rally was opened by Coventry Lions Club President, Keith Bentley, who led the audience members in the Pledge of Allegiance followed by remarks of the purpose of the rally.

The Master of Ceremonies was OJR’s High School Leo Advisor John McCormick. After informing the audience about the morning’s activities and schedule, he introduced District Governor Gus Meyer III. DG Gus talked about the importance of the Leo Clubs in establishing a legacy and for Leos continuing in Lionism and community service in their college years and beyond.

Coventry Lions Club Leo Advisor, Terry Stouffer introduced Keynote Speaker, Maddie Murphy. Maddie was away at Temple University finishing her last two weeks of her senior year but was gracious enough to provide a video for the audience. Her speech can be seen and heard here.
