Good Day Lions/ettes,,,
that little bit was 4000 steps...wow!
attached 2 pics of our exciting new vests, treasure/trash findings day...
1st pic:  zoomed in chopping a little of Prez Cathers off but still having supplies-mobile's hinny in pic.
2nd pic:   zoomed way out.
Called Highway Deparment Friday to report we were attacking Rt 100 Saturday morning.  Recalled Highway'rs to give # of bags & to make sure they did not forget from Friday's call to come collect bags this morning.
He asked how it went.  me: Well as can be.  No treasures this time.  Everyone made it back...we did not have to erase anyone's name off sign up sheet.

146 Lion Cubs Inducted into the OJR elementary schools

East Coventry Elementary Lion Cubs pose in front of their garden in the front of the school.

The Owen J. Roberts five elementary schools had 146 upper grade students  inducted into their school's Lion Cubs Sevrice Club.

Each club member was presented with a certificate of membership and t-shirt prior to being inducted. The five clubs had completed over twenty service projects during the year. MS Leo Club Induction

Lionette Leah Kinzinger (pictured front row, far left)  opened the Induction Ceremonies relating to the club members her journey to the Lions Club and the experiences she has had with her guide dogs.

After receiving their t-shirts, the Leos received their certificate of membership from advisor Kira Rumpp.

Coventry Lions Club President Chris Bober(pictured far right second row) then officially inducted the Leos into the club.

Leo Club Stages the Battle of the Bands

On May 30th the OJR Leo Club Presented the Battle of the Bands at the High School Auditorium.

 

Seven Bands were featured in the evening program. There was something for everyone as the bands played every genre of music imaginable. From Heavy Metal to Pop.

The Three Man Band Crisis started off the evening's activities playing a set of hard rock that had the audience wanting more.
